I couldn’t be more excited to share Leigh-Leigh’s Keynote Speaker Branding Session with you! Leigh-Leigh is the keynote speaker behind Leigh-Leigh Kossman Speaking and Coaching and a proud momma of three. She’s also a certified Life Transitions Coach and Intuitive Spiritual Leader who helps Christian moms embrace their next phase in life. Leigh-Leigh brings joy and positivity wherever she goes, always ready to welcome you with a warm hug and a cup of tea.

+ Planning the Session

While planning this session, Leigh-Leigh was in the midst of a rebrand. The biggest change was to her brand colors and image. She was transitioning from soft pastels to vibrant colors that reflected warmth, joy, and personality. With that in mind, we crafted a session plan that felt fun yet still reflected maturity and professionalism. Throughout our meetings, we decided to use clothes as the pops of color, keeping the background a clean, crisp white. This not only drew the focus exactly where we wanted it (to Leigh-Leigh), but it also provided the versatility Leigh-Leigh was looking for.

These photos would primarily live on Instagram, serving as a way to build connection and trust with her online community. However, they could also eventually be featured on her website and print media once those pieces were in motion. To achieve this strategy, we focused on imagery that felt warm, welcoming, and inviting, while making it clear that keynote speaking was her primary offering. We also leaned into elements of faith as that is an integral piece of Leigh-Leigh’s story.

The last piece of the puzzle was props! This is one of my favorite parts of planning a session as it truly brings so much personality and life to a shoot. Being one of my very first branding sessions, we definitely went a bit conservative (oh, how I wish I could go back and tell my newbie photography self the importance of 4-week pre-planning and intentional session strategy, haha). However, almost two years later, I still do love the minimal props that we chose: a gold microphone, Leigh-Leigh’s custom carved and designed stick, the sweet pink stool. They all meant something to Leigh-Leigh and spoke to the goals she had for the session.

The best part? Leigh-Leigh has continued to use the photos and see value from this shoot, even two years later. Brand photos are an investment, however, they are one that will work hard for your business for months or even years to come!

Now, let’s dive into the session!

+ Brand Color #1: Orange

One thing that I absolutely LOVED about this session was how we leaned into tone-on-tone. Leigh-Leigh was dressed head-to-toe in each color and to this day, I can still confidently say I’m obsessed.

At the time, I didn’t have access to different color backdrops, so we used a little photoshop magic to add contrasting brand colors to the backgrounds of some of our favorites.

+ Brand Color #2: Pink

+ Brand Color #3: White/Gold

The power suit!!! This was one look that was a must-have on our list. The softness of the white, paired with the structured suit were the perfect pairing for Leigh-Leigh’s aesthetic.

+ They’re so much more than photos

Brand Collaborations

This was a pinch-me moment—two of my branding clients teamed up to collaborate on a weekly email newsletter. It was so exciting to see them use their branding images to create an eye-catching and effective marketing promo for the announcement. When joining a collaboration like a podcast or interview, you’ll often need a photo of yourself for promo materials. Brand images give you peace of mind knowing that you are ready when those opportunities come up! Say goodbye to the days of rifling through thousands of iphone photos trying to find one that “looks okay”. Strategic, on-brand marketing images allow you to take on any opportunity with confidence and professionalism.

Social Media

Profile photos, reel covers, and graphics, oh my! Leigh-Leigh used her brand images across social media to create content that’s eye-catching, engaging, and perfectly on-brand for her community. Nowadays, social media is a must-have in your marketing lineup. Yet, in our heads we’re all shouting, “We don’t have time for this!”. Which is why having a gallery of ready to post images is a must. A strategic gallery allows you to always have the perfect image for your next Reel cover, static post, story, or graphic. Meaning, even if you’re hair is in a messy bun and you have been wearing the same sweatpants for 3 days you can still show up confidently and professionally for your audience. That is HUGE! No matter what, your brand photos are working hard for you.
