Nostalgic Product Photography with Kamaela’s Kreamery | Some collaborations feel like magic from the very first message—and this one with Kamaela’s Kreamery was exactly that. I’m a huge fan of her adorable ice cream pop-ups (and the oat milk Mint Oreo flavor 👀), so when I reached out in June to see if she’d be up for a Shop + Shoot, and she said yes, I was over the moon!
This brand is everything I love: joyful, nostalgic, community-centered, and so full of heart. It’s truly been one of my favorite collaborations to date.
+ A Scoop of Joy + Nostalgia
Our goal for this session was to capture the joy of Kamaela’s Kreamery. We wanted the photos to feel:
- Joyful 🍦
- Nostalgic 🍒
- A little vintage 🏁
- And totally on-brand
To make that happen, I did my research and got crafty! First, I designed a custom checkered backdrop inspired by the patterned wall inside her ice cream trailer. Next, I pulled in her brand details (sweet cherries, soft pinks, and that retro check pattern) to bring her vibe to life in every frame.
From styling to color palettes, everything was carefully styled to match her already adorable aesthetic. Now, she can easily use the photos across her website, social media, print materials, and more.

One of my favorite parts of this shoot was simply spending time at one of her weekly pop-ups. It’s impossible not to smile when you see her little trailer, the cheerful setup, and the line of happy customers.
We’ve made it a new tradition in our home—and when we can’t make it, you can bet you’ll find Mint Oreo Oatmilk stocked in my freezer. 🙌
Kamaela’s Kreamery isn’t just adorable—it’s one of those brands that makes you feel like you’re part of something good. I’ve been intentionally seeking out brands that celebrate joy and goodness this season—and this one truly felt like a dream come true.
